Re: Point Cloud Trimmed off when Zooming
I am half answering my own question here. I re-discovered that this is the "near clipping depth" adjustment, which I see that I can change by scrolling up and down on my mouse, while holding down the command button, on my Mac. However, this adjustment is tedious. Is there a more straightfo...

Point Cloud Trimmed off when Zooming
Hello all, This is something that I've noticed on two projects, so far. When I want to zoom in, on extreme close up details, the point cloud gets trimmed off, as if it is passing an invisible plane that makes anything past that plane invisible. I'm including a screen shot that shows how the headstoc...

Re: Open and Save not working in Mac OS 15.4.1
Thank you for this. It is helpful.
Since I don't understand that coding stuff at the end of the github discussion I just deactivated the option "Use native load /save dialogs" in the Display Settings, and it worked.
Thank yuo.

Open and Save not working in Mac OS 15.4.1
I literally just updated my Mac OS to 15.4.1 and I am using CloudCompare 2.13.2 Right after the Mac OS update the Open File, Save File and Save Project no longer work. I can still drag and drop to open files, but have not figure out a way to save. Not sure what can be done about this but obviously t...

OBS not seeing CloudCompare
I want to start recording some CloudCompare screen captures with OBS. Oddly, when I do a screen capture > application capture in OBS, CloudCompare does not show up in the dropdown menu like all the other applications do. I am on a Mac OS 15.4.1 and am using CloudCompare 2.13.2. Am I doing something ...

Re: Properties Not Showing up Fully
Oh, I see... Thank you... I think what threw me off a bit was that some of the icons don't show up with a lot of contrast in dark theme (such as the arrow to open folder). Since this is open source, I guess I could make my own personalized icons for the tools, etc. Where is the folder with the icons...

Properties Not Showing up Fully
Hi all, For whatever reason whenever I open a saved .bin file my properties no longer show up with the usual complete list of properties. What I see is this. Screenshot 2025-04-19 at 9.45.49 PM.png But when I open a .ply file I see a full list of properties, like this. Screenshot 2025-04-19 at 9.46....

Re: Assembling objects in CloudCompare
Here is a screen shot of what I am trying to do.
There is a point could scan of a guitar and a scan of the guitar bridge (in the yellow box).
Is it possible to move the bridge in the correct place on the guitar?
Thanks.

Assembling objects in CloudCompare
Hello all, I just started using CloudCompare to view 3D scans of guitars and guitar parts. I was hoping to be able to import separate guitar parts into a project and then move and rotate each guitar part separately so that I can assemble a guitar in 3D space. Can this be done in CloudCompare? Thanks.
