ccviewer file extensions

I am currently looking into ccviewer as a slim pointcloud viewer and was downloading the archive to try it out, but encounter some problems in opening pointcloud files. No matter if I drop an e57, las or laz into the viewer, I always get following message:

[Load] Can't guess file format: unhandled file extension 'las'

Do I need to install the ccviewer differently than just opening the archive or what might cause this issue. Did not find anything in the forum or anywhere else. Thank you for your help

Sorry, I realized the wrong version was uploaded.

Can you retry? (the version displayed at the top should be 2.14.alpha).
